Botulinum toxin has been approved for these therapeutic applications:
Botulinum toxin is managed by diluting powder in saline solution and injecting it into the neuromuscular tissue directly. It usually requires 24-72 hours for botulinum toxin to show its effect. However in rare cases, it might take 5 days for the full effect of botulinum toxin to be seen.
It should not be used in lactating or pregnant women, or who have had allergic reaction previously to the drug or any of its ingredients.
