What is hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is often characterised by sweat that is produced more thanwhat is usually necessary for thermoregulation in the body. We already know how important sweating is in regulating our body temperature, but when you have hyperhidrosis, you sweat too often even when your body is not overheating. Thus, sweating that has no cause is referred to as diaphoresis.
